EnviroFest

On April 21, 2024, our office joined Senator Martwick and over a dozen city and state-wide organizations dedicated to saving our planet for our first-ever EnviroFest. This environmental resource fair featured representatives from the Illinois Department of Human Services, the City of Chicago’s Streets and Sanitation Department, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Illinois Green Alliance, Northwest Home Equity Assurance Program, ComEd, The Nature Conservatory, Bike Lane Uprising, Cook County Forest Preserves, Collective Resource Compost, Sunnyside Plants, Jefferson Park Pollinator Gardens, MWRD, and Nigro Studios, as well as three different panels that provided context and resources on pollinator gardens, flood mitigation, and green infrastructure. This event would not have been possible if it were not for the collaboration of our Environmental Advisory Council, which features advocates and professionals from across the far NW Side who are passionate about keeping Illinois green.
